Meet Austin
I’m Austin Harley, the photographer behind SOCO. Since founding the business in 2016, I’ve spent over a decade photographing homes, interiors, commercial properties, and land throughout Colorado and nationwide.
I’ve lived in cities, suburbs, and rural communities throughout the Mountain West, so I’m equally comfortable inside a downtown condo or in the woods miles down a dirt road. In my previous career, I was a television meteorologist. These days, that forecasting experience helps me plan your shoot around the weather.
People often tell me I have an eye for this type of photography. What they don’t always see is the care behind the shot: straight lines, thoughtful composition, patience with the natural light, or backing all the way across a room to find the right perspective.
I’m friendly and chatty, particular about my work, and serious about being someone you can count on. My goal is to become the photographer you trust — because I know how it feels to have one less thing on your plate.
My partner, Michael, and I have been together since 2019. We have a small corgi named Rex and live in Denver.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
I’m based in Denver, but I shoot all over the Front Range, throughout Colorado, and across the western US.
Further than 120 miles from Denver? No worries! I frequently shoot in CA, WA, UT, and WY. Let’s get in touch.
-
It depends on two things: where is the property & what services are ordered.
Ten photos of a condo in Denver could be as low as $400. That same condo in Colorado Springs could be $700. A twilight shoot in Aspen with photos, aerials, and a video could be $3000+. See the pricing page for more.

SOCO prides itself on quality but understands that many clients are on a tight timeline. Photos and other non-video services can be ready by 12:00 PM the day following your shoot.
Video takes up to 72 hours for delivery.
To ensure top quality imagery, SOCO may request additional editing time for luxury, complicated, or very large projects.
-
Once your invoice is paid in full, you will receive a Property & Business Marketing License. This is non-exclusive and non-transferrable. You may use the delivered media to market the photographed property and your own business in both digital and print formats (websites, MLS, social media, ads, etc).
Only the person or business listed on the booking receives the license. Other interested parties need their own license. For example, an agent who hires SOCO to photograph a home may not give or sell the edited media to the home builder, home stager, or custom cabinet maker for those businesses own commercial use.
Copyright is retained by SOCO and is not transferred. Edited media may not be resold, substantially re-edited, or altered by AI without written permission from SOCO. Basic cropping, resizing, and adding branding are allowed.
Edited media may not be downloaded or used until payment is completed in full. Unpaid previews are for review only.

If you live within 120 miles of Denver, you can book online. That is the fastest & easiest way to schedule.
If you have a very large project, multiple projects, an unusual situation, or something further away, then get in touch.

Yes! Photography is my expertise, but I can also provide: aerial imagery, cinematic property videos, floor plans, Matterport, Zillow 3D, and virtual staging.
I’m a FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot and carry liability insurance.

Because of my prior experience as a meteorologist, I continuously monitor the forecast and will recommend rescheduling your shoot if conditions look poor (high wind, rain, snow, fog, smoke).
You’re welcome to keep your appointment even if I recommend rescheduling for weather, but the standard cancellation policy still applies. If on the day of your shoot, the weather is unexpectedly worse than forecast, or conditions become unsafe, I will reschedule your shoot at no additional fee.
Not all services can be completed in poor weather; aerials and exterior video are especially sensitive. You or SOCO may cancel individual pieces of an order that are affected by the weather, and you will not be charged for those.
If part of your shoot was cancelled or affected by the weather, you may book a second appointment at SOCO’s standard rate.
-
If you need to cancel or rebook, you can do so online. Or you may send written notice to SOCO via text or email.
You may cancel or reschedule without a fee up until 24 hours before your appointment. Cancelling or rescheduling within 24 hours of your scheduled start time will result in a fee of 50% of the booked shoot total.
Once I arrive, cancellations incur 100% of the booked shoot total. This includes appointments where I cannot access the property — or the property is not ready and the shoot cannot proceed.
See the weather section above for exceptions.
